"HOW TO KEEP THE FIRE OF THE SPIRIT" - DR. CLAUDIO FREIDZON

Reading time: 4 minutes

The Holy Spirit moved in a special way in the 1990s. It was not just a visit; He came to dwell in our midst. We long for the fire of the Spirit to burn like never before. May that anointing that has visited the church be rediscovered by this new generation that today is hungry and thirsty for His Presence.
May the Holy Spirit descend, flooding hearts as it did on Pentecost. Let us wait with longing, with ardent love and in obedience, as the one hundred and twenty did in the upper room.

"The last glory of this house will be greater than the first." (Haggai 2: 9).

In the midst of this pandemic time, more than ever we have to win the battle through the spiritual forces that come from Heaven.

"This is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel, who says: Not with an army, nor with force, but with my Spirit, the Lord of hosts has said." (Zechariah 4: 6)

We have an enormous task to rebuild a generation devastated by sin. May that pile of rubble become a dwelling place of God! There is a mountain of humanism, of thoughts that are diverting people from His will. We need power to fulfill the mission that the Lord sent us: to be light, to announce the message of salvation.

We cannot do it with our strength. The Holy Spirit makes us remain rooted in God's truth to bear fruit.

“Now I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but you stay in the city until you are clothed with the power from on high. ”(Luke 24:49)

To be clothed in His power, we must first empty ourselves of pride and self-sufficiency, acknowledging our dependence on God. We need to keep the flame of the Spirit to advance, in the midst of the crisis, with the authority of Christ.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1: 8)

The Lord builds his church. The gates of hell will not prevail against it. Just as the Lord breathed life on Adam and on the disciples, giving rise to the church; Today we need the power from above to blow so that the fire does not go out and the passion does not weaken.

The early apostles, like Paul and Silas, suffered persecution and were held captive because of the preaching of the word.

"After they had been flogged a lot, they were thrown into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them safely. Who, having received this command, put them in the innermost dungeon, and secured their feet in the stocks. But at midnight, praying Paul and Silas, they sang hymns to God; and the prisoners heard them. Then suddenly a great earthquake struck, so that the foundations of the prison were shaking; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were released. Waking up the jailer, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was going to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had fled. But Paul cried out with a loud voice, saying: Do no harm to yourself, for we are all here. Then, asking for light, he rushed inside, and trembling, fell down at the feet of Paul and Silas; And taking them out, he said to them: Sirs, what must I do to be saved? They said: Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your house will be saved. And they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he, taking them at that same hour of the night, washed their wounds; and immediately he was baptized with all his own. And taking them home, he set the table for them; and he rejoiced with his whole house that he believed God. " (Acts 16: 23-26)

Many times the lashes that we suffer in the heart cause discouragement and lack of faith; however, the Lord wants to move His hand in our favor. Let us determine in our spirit the desire to adore and raise our voices, thanking His love, His sovereignty, His salvation; His Word that produces joy in our lives. God wants to move in the moment of difficulty. There will come a suddenly that will break the chains!

When we worship God, we do it with foundation. Paul and Silas knew Who they adored.

“The Lord's teachings are perfect, they revive the soul. The Lord's decrees are trustworthy, they make the simple wise. The Lord's commandments are upright; they bring joy to the heart. The Lord's commands are clear; give good perception to live. Reverence to the Lord is pure, it remains forever. The Lord's laws are true, each one of them is impartial ”. (Psalms 19: 7-9)

God's own words bring revival to the soul.

Let's give our future to the Lord because times will come from this midnight where we will be surprised. It is a time of faith, growth and spiritual roots. It is time to deal with inner giants of fear.

The Spirit of God moves through the Word reviving your heart, giving you life and the hope you had lost. It blows over everything that is fallen, dead, dismembered ... The reverent fear of the Lord awakens dull hearts.

In those valleys of dry bones, he will raise a powerful army that will advance fulfilling the purpose of God on this earth!
